Security of major events? It's all about Selex ES! Thanks to its many years of experience in the industry, the company contributes greatly to the success of major events developing and managing non-invasive solutions for the safety of participants, operators and the territory in which they take place and supporting the organizers in each stage, from installation to the support during and post-event. Whether it's a conference or to a geographically extensive international event, Selex ES presents a comprehensive and tailor-made offer, designed to ensure complete protection. Designed from the analysis of the risk and of the existing structures, also in terms of sustainability, the solutions are able to integrate all the components and systems and to reintegrate dynamically into the general organization.

There are many great events that have relied on Selex ES for their safety: the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006, for example, for which the company has developed a video surveillance system and a professional radio telecommunications network based on the TETRA standard; or the cycling world championships played in Florence in 2013, also featured a TETRA network for secure communications as well as the recent winter Olympic Games that took place in Russia in Sochi. Selex ES has also been chosen as a supplier of perimeter security systems for over twenty venues that will host the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014, including the villages of the athletes, as well as a technology partner of Expo Milano 2015.

For the Universal Exposition that will take place in Milan, the company will make available its expertise and the best technologies for the management of the event and the protection of visitors and operators. In particular, Selex ES will ensure the safety of the event by offering its own model for the smart cities of the future. The project involves the development, construction and commissioning of an operational center (the Main Operations Centre) able to monitor and supervise the event of a large set of sub-systems "camp" dedicated to the safety and an advanced system of communications professionals.
