PROSPECT, the drill manufactured by Leonardo and the miniature lab, represents the key element of the Luna-27 lander, a mission developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) with the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos).
The drill will seek ice, volatile and subsurface chemicals, pick samples of material and distribute to different scientific instruments for analysis.
