For Leonardo, growth comes from a process of continuous sharing. By putting technological passion at heart of the business and by sharing ideas there is a constant dialogue between colleagues from across the organisation. This collaboration also extends to the territories we operate in, institutions, research centres, universities and schools.
Collaboration starts internally, with knowledge-sharing activities through internal publications and magazines, seminars and webinars open to all employees and hosted either by Leonardo experts or external partners.
We are constantly striving to spread a culture of innovation and bring the younger generation closer to the world of Leonardo’s technologies and skills. This includes leading training related the company’s activities, and providing courses at the most prestigious Italian universities.
We enrich the curriculum in schools to bring future generations closer to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) disciplines, with the aim of creating opportunities for new generations, developing talent and renewing knowledge in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
We address the growing demand for technical and specialised skills in the aerospace, defence and security and space sectors and create positive spill-over effects for all technology-intensive sectors.
Colleagues act as 'STEM ambassadors' in educational outreach programmes through competitions, workshops and seminars, as well as participating in conferences and lectures at universities and business schools.
Promoting scientific citizenship - the sharing of technological skills with the communities in which we operate - is an integral part of Leonardo's strategy to strengthen skills and the innovation chain, and it plays a key role in the company’s Sustainability Plan.
