It means setting ourselves side by side with the new generations to look into the future together and witness how important the STEM disciplines (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics) are to us at Leonardo. Indeed, they are at the core of our activity and our business, just like our people (69% of our employees hold degrees in these disciplines).
Scientific citizenship therefore means placing our technological passion at the centre, sharing it and adding to it through ongoing dialogue with the community, institutions, research centres and universities.
It means chosing an approach to scientific disciplines that supports a multidisciplinary vision – often represented by the acronym STEAM in wich A stands for ARTS - where innovation, knowledge, creativity and imagination are thoroughly combined through a merging process to jointly build the skills of the future.
Our commitment is to contribute to the UN 2030 Agenda Goals, especially to the 4th SDG in order to provide quality, fair and inclusive education and learning opportunities for everyone, and to the 9th SDG in order to support technological skills in business by encouraging innovation and attracting people and resources for Research & Development.
