Does Leonardo have a Committee at the level of the Board of Directors dedicated to Sustainability?

Yes, in 2016 Leonardo assigned responsibility for Governance and Sustainability to the Board Committee, called the Nomination, Governance and Sustainability Committee.

How do we communicate our commitments and Sustainability performances? 

Leonardo communicates its commitment and the results achieved mainly through the annual publication of the Sustainability and Innovation Report, but also through the company website, relations with investors, stakeholders and rating agencies. The 2017 Sustainability and Innovation Report, prepared in accordance with the international guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI-G4) and verified by an independent auditing firm, performs the function of a Non-Financial Statement pursuant to Legislative Decree 30 December 2016, n. 254 and is inspired by the framework of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

What is our strategy for the environment and climate change?

Leonardo's strategy for the environment and the fight against climate change is based on and integrates two aspects: the first linked to the portfolio of eco-efficient technologies and solutions for monitoring the Earth, and the second linked to operations management increasingly effective in terms of containing environmental impacts.

How do we contribute to achieving the SDGs?

The 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoted by the United Nations Organization for Development aimed at the prosperity of populations on a global level, gives a prominent role to companies as partners to be involved in a systemic way. Leonardo, through its commitment to the dissemination of scientific citizenship and the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), collaborations in technology, innovation processes and the continuous improvement of products and solutions for society and environment, provides a direct contribution to the achievement of four SDGs.

Leonardo is part of the Sustainability Indices?

Yes. Leonardo has been present since 2010 in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), which select the companies with the best sustainability performance among those with the highest capitalization on the basis of the evaluations elaborated by the RobecoSAM agency. Since 2015 Leonardo has been included in the ECPI Sustainability Equity Indices, and in particular in the ECPI World ESG Equity Index and in the ECPI Euro ESG Equity Index, based on ECPI valuations.
