Pilots experience an easy to fly platform with best-in-class range which features state-of-the art structural components and rotor blades. The helicopter is capable of operate in day and night VFR conditions and offers excellent flying qualities, high controllability and manoeuvrability. The cockpit features dual controls with an instrument panel conceived for excellent ergonomics. Both cockpit and cabin offer outstanding all around visibility increasing safety and VFR situational awareness.
The cabin has been designed to provide high levels of operational flexibility. Two aft sliding doors provide access to the large cabin which ensures to each passenger great comfort with ample legroom as well as prompt reconfiguration capability for different applications. The SW-4 features crashworthy seats (pilots and passengers) and crash resistant tank.
The SW-4 is perfectly suited for basic and advanced training and can perform a large range of military roles, such as Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Troop Transport.
It can be fitted with external mounting points capable of carrying specialist role equipment up to 240 kg (529 lb).
