Bringing multi-role capability and maximum efficiency to the battlespace
The fighter attack
With pressure on Air Forces worldwide to reshape their fleets and do more with less, the M-346FA (Fighter Attack) variant delivers a highly cost-effective and capable tactical solution. Evolved from the M-346 Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT), it is a multi-role light combat aircraft combining high performance with the versatility to tackle multiple missions.
Mission & features
Optimised for multiple roles
Capable of operating in light combat, advanced and Lead-in Fighter Trainer (LIFT) roles, the M-346FA is equipped with the multi-mode Grifo-M346 radar, and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), specifically optimised for this variant.
Highly cost-effective tactical solution
Modern combat requires a single platform to excel in multiple roles. The FA variant maintains all the features of the M-346AJT, providing the operator with maximum commonality, operational flexibility, and advanced training capabilities.
ETTS maximises flexibility
Flexibility is crucial to mission success and the M-346FA is highly adaptable. The Embedded Tactical Training System (ETTS) suite means it can be used also in the advanced and LIFT roles. It offers a spectrum of simulated training functions in flight, linking with the M-346 Integrated Training System which has Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) capabilities.
With air-to-air refuelling capability, the M-346FA can operate long-range missions with greater endurance and extended time on station.
Aggressor and Companion Training roles
The M-346FA enables operators to undertake a broader range of roles through a single platform. For example, it can perform Aggressor and Companion Training roles effectively, providing users with a flexible asset in a fast-changing world.
