Mission Capability

With the capability and persistence to extend the limits of maritime operations, the AW101 provides full spectrum Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO), Anti Surface Warfare (ASuW), Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Airborne Surveillance and Control (ASaC) and Airborne Mine Countermeasures (AMCM) capability.

The AW101 provides customers with greater mission flexibility, thanks to a comprehensive range of equipment that enables the platform to be configured for swing role operations. The large sliding door and rear ramp ensure rapid personnel ingress/egress and equipment loading/unloading.

Technical data

AW101 Customers will benefit from the Mid-Life Upgrade program that will increase the life of the in-service fleet with the conversion to the latest standard and systems (avionic, mission systems, radars and sensors), ensuring increased capacity and capability whilst improving the fleet’s reliability and availability.
