Leonardo at FIDAE 2018

From 3 to 8 April, Leonardo is participating in the FIDAE Air Show, one of the most important Aerospace, Defence and Security exhibitions in South America, taking place in Santiago, Chile.


Leonardo is showcasing at its static display two C-27Js from the Peruvian Air Force, an AW139 helicopter from the Carabineros de Chile and an AW169 from the Argentine Gendarmerie.


At its stand (B44), the Company is also exhibiting models of the AW101 and AW119Kx helicopters and of the new M-345 trainer, which together with the M-346 Fighter Attack version, perfectly match the needs of several Latin American air forces.


Other products on display include the Ospray and Gabbiano radars, the new SDR (Software Defined Radio) communication system, the Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system and the Swave broadband radio systems. For the protection of airborne platforms against heat-seeking missiles, Leonardo is presenting the readily-exportable Miysis Directed Infra-Red Counter Measure (DIRCM). Additionally, the BriteCloud electronic protection system in radio frequency and the Linx targeting systems are also on display.
