Leonardo at EUROSATORY 2018
Leonardo is participating in Eurosatory 2018, the biggest international exhibition dedicated to land and airland Defence and Security technologies, taking place 11-15 June in Paris. Leonardo is showcasing its latest land solutions and technologies for the Armed Forces, characterised by interoperability, greater effectiveness and proprietary technology.
The Leonardo stand (C300/B301 – Hall 6) features the FOB (Forward Operating Base) protection solution, a system able to provide surveillance and threat detection capabilities for military bases, airports, peacekeeping camps and other critical infrastructures, thanks to its high modularity and flexibility.
Another stand highlight is the virtual immersive simulation technology that enables visitors to experience a “real” operational battlefield environment at the dismounted soldier level, fully integrated with the Command and Control chain. Moreover, a complete C4I infrastructure is on show as a further demonstration of Leonardo’s integration and interoperability capabilities for digital battlefields.
To illustrate Leonardo’s expertise in cutting-edge SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology, some of the SWave SDR family products, which include handheld, man pack and vehicular tactical radio systems, are being exhibited. Other systems on display include, the counter-RCIED Guardian system, the Drivers Night Vision System (DNVS) 4, the NERIO-ULR electro-optical system and, for the first time, the latest Infra-Red (IR) camera SLX-SuperHawk.
Leonardo is demonstrating its ability to meet medium tank market requirements by presenting both its latest technologies on board of the Centauro II and the Light Multirole Vehicle (LMV) 2. Furthermore, Leonardo's HITFACT large calibre turret is being presented on the Centauro II and the ASCOD tracked vehicle in the GDELS (General Dynamics European Land Systems) booth, to demonstrate how the gun can be integrated onto different platforms.
Leonardo is hosting at its stand the European Land Defence Industry Group’s (ELDIG) ceremony for the chairmanship handover from Leonardo to Rheinmetall.
