HITROLE® is a lightweight Common Remote Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) fully operable from protected position, including reloading of ammunition and gun recocking of the weapons.
HITROLE® can be fitted with 7,62mm or 12,7mm Machine Guns (MG) or 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher (AGL) to carry out multirole tasks in unfriendly environments, such as urban and contaminated scenarios.
The light weight and the small race ring dimension make HITROLE® particularly suitable for installation on light armored vehicles, both tracked or wheeled, for which the operational tasks require the crew to be all the time in a protected position.
The weapons are stabilized on two axis.
The HITROLE® Fire Control System (FCS) consists of a modular sighting system including a Color Day Light TV camera, an IR camera for night vision and an eye safe LRF. The FCS architecture is open providing growth potential for system upgrade. Both sighting system and firing are computer assisted and operated from a protected position inside the vehicle through a multi function display with joystick.
The Gunner is assisted by a Fire Control Computer (FCC) with ballistic and cinematic computation as weII as by a tracker if requested. The belted ammunition is housed in standard ammunition boxes and can be reloaded from inside the vehicle.
In emergency HITROLE® can be manually operated.
