Furthermore, in the same period, the first four AW189s of 15 helicopters ordered by Gulf Helicopters have now entered service supporting offshore oil and gas operations in the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean. The deliveries will be completed in 2017.

With orders placed for nearly 800 AW139s by more than 220 customers in over 60 nations to date and the exceptional milestone of 1 million hours of flight reached by nearly 700 units already in service, the AW139 represents an industry standard for offshore transport duties supporting the oil and gas industry in addition to a wide spectrum of missions including search and rescue, homeland security, military transport, utility, and VIP/passenger transport. The wide range of capabilities of the AW139 have made it extremely successful in Japan, with aircraft in service with the Japan Coast Guard, Japan National Police Agency, Tokyo Metropolitan Police and Fire and Disaster Management Agency, as well as several prefectures and city agencies.

The contrat signed with HoverFly marks the entrance of the AW169 into the Italian passenger transport market. Designed and built to meet the operational needs of both public and private operators, the AW169 stands today as a reference point for the market thanks to its modernity and usability. There are more than 120 orders for the new generation twin-engine mid-range helicopter, able to carry out several missions, including air ambulance, public safety and Corporate / VIP, Offshore and Utility transportation, responding to the more stringent and updated safety standards. The first deliveries are expected for next year, right after the civil certification of the helicopter.
