Aerostructures for Boeing 787

Alenia Aermacchi, as a Boeing “strategic risk sharing partner”, developed and manufactures all composite horizontal stabilizer and "one piece barrel" fuselage sections 44 and 46 for Boeing 787 program, representing about 14% share of the airframe.
 


In 2004 Boeing launched the 787-8 Dreamliner, able to carry 210 - 250 passengers on routes up to 8,200 NM. Currently 787 wide body family is composed also by streched 787-9 model carrying 250 - 290 passengers on routes up to 8,500 NM and by the new double stretched 787-10 model, launched in June 2013, carrying 300 - 330 passengers up to 7,000 NM.



At end of August 2015, 787 family logged 1095 net orders (457 787-8; 498 787-9; 140 787-10).
