Aerostructures for Boeing 767

A risk sharing partner since project inception (1978), Alenia Aermacchi is sole supplier for the design and manufacture of assemblies and parts for Boeing 767 family program.

The Boeing 767 is a mid-large, long-range, wide-body twin-engined airliner developed by Boeing. It is able to carry from 181 (three class layout) to 375 passengers (high density single class layout) depending on versions (-200/-300/-400) and cabin configurations.

At end of August 2015 Boeing recorded over 1162 net orders for its 767 program.

Based on 767 program, the new KC-46 Aerial Refuelling Aircraft is being manufactured by Boeing under a contract with the US Air Force (USAF). The contract calls for the manufacturing of 179 KC-46 tankers to replace the old KC-135 tankers that have been in service since 1965. Alenia Aermacchi will continue its role on design and manufacturing for the new KC-46 version.
